Scholarships given to 59 poor students
The Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee has recently given scholarships in 2023, totalling VND295 million from the ‘Fund for the Poor’ to 59 poor students who overcame their difficulties to achieve good academic results.

Speaking at the recent scholarship awarding ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Tran Thi Man said that the programme on supporting scholarships for students from poor families was one of the city’s humanitarian activities, contributing to effectively implementing the city's social welfare programme.
Through the programme, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have helped poor families reduce the burden of paying tuition for their children during their studies at universities, as well as helped students have more confidence to continue their learning path, becoming useful citizens.
Since 2019, the municipal Fatherland Front Committee has awarded scholarships to 168 poor students with 274 scholarship recipients at a total amount of VND1.37 billion.
