The Chinese Deputy Consul General to Da Nang on Friday morning visited and worked with leaders of the Da Nang Newspaper.

The Chinese diplomat was hosted by Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Duc Nam and Deputy Editor-in-Chief Tran Thi Thu Thuy.

During his meeting with leaders of the Da Nang Newspaper, the Chinese Deputy Consul General thanked the hosts for the warm welcome, and briefed them on operations of the Chinese Consulate-General in Da Nang in recent times.

The Chinese Deputy Consul General said that he highly appreciated ​​efforts of Da Nang Today, English version of the Da Nang Newspaper to read online, in publishing news or journalistic content. He hoped that the Da Nang Newspaper would actively coordinate with the Chinese Consulate-General in Da Nang to quickly publicize information about friendly relationship between Da Nang and Chinese localities, and between Viet Nam and China as a whole, in a bid to help the people of the two countries understand the China-Viet Nam friendly relations in a comprehensive manner.

For his part, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Duc Nam provided introduction and overview of the Da Nang Newspaper, which is the voice of the party, government and people of Da Nang, and is an official channel to publish news about international relations relating to Da Nang. "Our news is greatly appreciated by the municipal agencies and departments, along with readers,' he remarked.

Mr. Nam thanked the Chinese Consulate-General in Da Nang for its coordination and support given to the Da Nang Newspaper in recent times.

He also affirmed that the Da Nang Newspaper would continue its efforts to publicize information about Chinese culture and the people, plus investment opportunities in the city, especially friendly relations between the two countries, in an attempt to contribute to deepening bilateral relations with China.
