From the afternoon of October 16 to the end of October 17, central coastal localities from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai provinces, including Da Nang, are forecast to experience moderate to heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals are expected to range from 100mm to 200mm, with over 250mm possible at some places.

Warning of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain in Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai is at level 2; Quang Nam at level 3; and Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang at level 4.

The intensity of rainfall will increase the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, and floods in low-lying areas and urban areas, in central localities.
