During the 2018-2023 period, more than 800 pupils in difficult circumstances across Da Nang have been supported reviewing knowledge of such subjects as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics and English, and provided with life skills under the project on supporting the knowledge and living skills for poor pupils and students.

The project has been carried out by the Municipal Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection, and the USA-based Giving it Back to Kids.

As a result, the rate of good and excellent pupils passing university entrance admission exams reached more than 82%.

During the five years, 34 pupils sat for the university entrance exams, of which 30 were admitted to universities and 4 were admitted to colleges. 14 students were supported with tuition fees. The rate of 9th graders sitting for the 10th grade entrance exams and passing the 1st and 2nd choices accounted for 87.6%.

Under the project, 266 training courses on life skills and mental health have been organised for local pupils. More than 750 children have been provided with knowledge about adolescent reproductive health and human trafficking prevention.

To mark this occasion, 11 individuals have been honoured in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the implementation of the project during the 2018-2023 period.
