Staff of Da Nang’s social insurance sector are working at full throttle, implementing a variety of measures to execute social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies, with the determination to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks for the year 2023.

In Ngu Hanh Son District, as of November 30, the number of individuals who participated in compulsory social insurance had reached 17,027, an increase of 3,221 compared to the same period last year, achieving 100.01% of the year’s plan. Meanwhile, the number of people who participated in voluntary social insurance had stood at 2,070, an increase of 568, reaching 100.53% of the plan.

The number of unemployment insurance participants had tallied up to 16,515, a rise of 3,112 from the previous year, accomplishing 103.33% of the plan while health insurance enrollees numbered 81,114, an increase of 5,674, achieving 101.8% of the plan. Among these, health insurance coverage for students tallied 29,633, fulfilling a 100% coverage rate, and marking a 2.46% increase from the previous academic year, and 21,526 individuals joining family health insurance, a rise of 4.9% compared to 2022. The coverage rate for health insurance across the district has hit 97%. So far this year, the social insurance agency of the district has achieved the development targets for participants in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Additionally, as of December 14, the district's social insurance fund had collected VND 390.3 billion, reaching 101% of its year’s target.

Hai Chau District is one of Da Nang’s four units that have reached their target number of voluntary social insurance participants. Hai Chau District boasts the highest rates of voluntary social insurance participants with  103.09%, followed by Thanh Khe District with 102.04%, Cam Le District 102.28%, Ngu Hanh Son District 100.55%.

The Social Security in Da Nang reported that as of November 30, key performance indicators for the year 2023 had been basically fulfilled.

Overall, in Da Nang, a total of 247,055 people had participated in compulsory social security, reaching 98.22% of the planned target, marking an increase of 3,352 or a 1.38% rise from the previous year.  Meanwhile, the number of participants in voluntary social security program had reached 24,550, presenting 99.19% of the year's plan, an increase of 5,393 compared to the same period last year.

Unemployment insurance participants had numbered 239,940, achieving 98.32% of the planned figure, an increase of 3,141 from last year. Health insurance participant numbers reached 1,111,245, hitting 99.86% of the annual target, an increase of 17,740 or a 1.62% rise. The sector expects to achieve 100% of the set goal by December 31.

Since the start of the year, the city's social insurance sector has granted monthly social insurance benefits to 1,610 eligible people, a 3.34% rise from the previous year. Additionally, 13,615 people has received lump-sum social insurance benefits, a 4.51% rise. Furthermore, unemployment benefits have been granted to 78,584 individuals while financial assistance for vocational training has been given to 2,296 others.

Since the beginning of the year, Da Nang’s social insurance sector has conducted surveys of 10,618 people across the city to determine their level of satisfaction with its online public services at https://dichvucong.danang.gov.vn, of whom, 10,615 or 99.98% expressed their satisfaction.
