On Saturday, the Da Nang Young Physicians' Association in collaboration with the People's Committee of Thanh Binh Ward in Hai Chau District offered free medical examination and medicine to more than 400 people who were war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious service in the ward.

Speaking at the programme, Doctor Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Hospital cum Chairman of the municipal Young Physicians’ Association, said that over the years, the association has organised many free medical examination and medicine distribution programmes for people in mountainous communes of Hoa Vang District and Quang Nam Province. However, this was the first time the association had organised such the programme in a central ward of the city.

During the programme, more than 50 doctors, pharmacists and nurses who are working at the Da Nang Hospital and other hospitals in the city, got actively involved in providing the best healthcare advice for veterans, war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services, and officers and soldiers of the city-based armed forces.

On the occasion, the Association, the Thanh Binh Ward People's Committee and Sympathy Volunteer Club, donated 50 gifts, worth VND15 million VND in total, to poor households in the ward.
