In recent times, Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Lien Commune, Da Nang has achieved positive results from the movement of hanging Uncle Ho's portrait in house. The movement demonstrates that every resident pays their deep respect to Uncle Ho, thereby promoting the campaign of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style among local residents.

As part of the plan of the Hoa Vang District Chapter of the Da Nang Fatherland Fron Committee, the ‘Hanging Uncle Ho's Portrait in House’ movement in Hoa Lien Commune helps promote the campaign of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style among local residents. It also supports the nationwide movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

To ensure the effective implementation of this movement, the Commune is encouraging its officials, party members, Youth Union members, and association members across 13 villages to set a good example for others to follow by hanging prominently Uncle Ho's portrait in their houses. Heed is paid to calling for financial assistance from generous donors to engage poor families in this meaningful movement.

Mr. Bui Trung Diep, the Chairman of the Hoa Lien Commune Chapter shared that the movement has been initially introduced in Quan Nam 2 Village in July 2023. Till date, it has expanded into 13 villages in the commune. Notably, over 90% of the total households in Truong Dịnh, Quan Nam 1, Quan Nam 3, Quan Nam 4, Quan Nam 5, Quan Nam 6, Van Duong 1, Van Duong 2, Hien Phuoc, Huong Phuoc và Tan Ninh villages have actively got involved in the movement. Especially, the Truong Dinh Village has the highest participation rates with 99%, followed by the Tan Ninh Village with 97%.

Mr Hiep added that despite being launched just four month ago, the movement has gained strong support from local residents. The commune will continue its efforts to promote this movement among local residents as the movement showcases its cultural and spiritual significance in a bid to foster solidarity among local residents, and enhance compliance of the public with national regulations, and laws.
