City leader extends Tet wishes to social policy families

On Tuesday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh paid pre-Tet visits to some social policy families in Ngu Hanh Son District.

When visiting heroic Vietnamese mother Dang Thi Nho, 108, residing in Hoa Hai Ward, Chairman Chinh expressed his joy at her good health and lucidity. He wished her and her family a peaceful and happy lunar new year.

Mother Dang Thi Nho was awarded the heroic Vietnamese mother title by the State President in 2014. She contributed to the revolutionary cause and her two children are martyrs.

During his visit to the family of 80-year-old Tran Van Ba, in Hoa Hai Ward, Chairman Chinh acknowledged and appreciated Mr. Ba's contributions and dedication in fights to protect the homeland in resistance wars and in time of peace.

He wished Mr. Ba to live happily and healthily, and continue to be a bright example for his children, grandchildren and younger generations to follow.

Mr. Ba, a 2/4 class war invalid, was involved in resistance wars and was exposed to toxic chemicals. Mr. Ba's wife is a 3/4 class war invalid, and used to be a revolutionary activist.
