On Monday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, along with some representatives of the Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Health, visited and extended Lunar New Year wishes to a number of medical units in the city.

When visiting the Da Nang C Hospital, Deputy Secretary Triet praised the hospital for its remarkable achievements in 2023, especially new achievements in professional work. He added that the unit did a good job of taking care of the health of local senior and retired officials, officers and employees.

He took the opportunity to wish all the hospital’s officials, doctors and employees a peaceful and happy Lunar New Year 2024. He hoped that the hospital will continue to promote its achieved results and strive for more achievements in 2024, thereby becoming an important medical examination and treatment unit in the city, and the central region as a whole.

In 2023, the Da Nang C Hospital had 19,726 inpatient cases, including 2,876 surgeries, reaching 135.7% of the plan. It provided periodic health examinations for senior officials, of which 77 examinations were given to 64 those from 8 provinces and cities nationwide.

At the Da Nang Hospital, Deputy Secretary Triet congratulated the unit on its outstanding results last year, especially exceeding most of its assigned professional targets.

The hospital bed occupancy was 113%. In particular, the hospital approved 61 new technical services, as well as successfully performed the first two autologous stem cell transplants and two kidney transplants. This proved that the hospital can perform complex techniques to serve patients.

The city leader asked the hospital to research a project to develop medical tourism services to attract domestic and foreign patients, thereby contributing to enhancing the hospital's reputation and image throughout the country and the region.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, he sent good wishes to the hospital’s officials, party members, and medical workers. He expressed his desire that they will promote solidarity and unity to complete tasks well and achieve higher results in 2024.

Similarly, Mr. Triet extended his Tet wishes to the leaders, officials and employees of the Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital.

He highly lauded the hospital for doing a good job of taking care of people with meritorious services, people with disabilities and patients in difficult circumstances, thereby demonstrating the responsibility and conscience of the medical sector.

A representative of the Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital said that in 2023, the hospital offered medical examination and treatment services to 36,955 turns of patients, reaching 106.59%. Of which, there were 2,725 cases of orthopedic surgery, representing 140.90%; and 4,915 cases of physical therapy treatment, reaching 114.89%.
