Exciting National Border Guard Festival and Spring Fair 2024

The Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port in coordination with the People's Committee of Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Chau District, organised the ‘All People's Border Day Festival’ and ‘Warm Spring - Peaceful Tet’ programmes, and opened the Spring Fair 2024 from January 26 - 28.

In addition, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port worked with authorities in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, to organise the ‘Tet of Gratitude - Spring of love, Spring of Border to Warm Hearts of Border People’ programme, and opened the 2024 Vietnamese Goods Fair.

The purpose of the abovementioned activities was to take care of the spiritual and material life of social policy families and households in difficult circumstances, and help them celebrate a warm and happy Tet.

Also, they aimed to strengthen the solidarity and attachment of the army and people, as well as enhance the role, awareness and sense of responsibility and obligation of the entire people in the work of preserving, managing and protecting sovereignty and security of national borders, seas and islands.

During the programmes, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port and benefactors presented 427 gifts, totalling VND216.5 million, to the children participating in the 'Adopted children of the Border Guard Station' and ‘Paving the way for children to school’ programmes.

Medals for Sovereignty and Security of the Fatherland's Borders of the Border Guard Command were given to 9 outstanding individuals.

Certificates of Merit from the Hai Chau District People's Committee were awarded to 8 collectives and 16 individuals in recognition of their active involvement in implementing the movement ‘All people get involved in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation’.

During the events, a number of exciting cultural exchange activities between border guard force and people, folk games, and dance and singing performances were held.
