Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary visits social policy beneficiaries

On Tuesday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet paid pre-Lunar New Year visits to some social policy families in Cam Le District.

During his meeting with heroic Vietnamese mother Ho Thi Chien, 99, residing in Hoa Xuan Ward, Deputy Secretary Triet wished her good health and longevity, and a Lunar New Year of peace and happiness.

He hoped that she will continue encouraging her descendants to uphold traditional patriotism, and set a good example for her children and grandchildren to follow.

Mrs. Ho Thi Chien was awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" by the State President in 2014. She contributed to the revolutionary cause and her two children are martyrs.

When visiting the family of 78-year-old Dang Van Rua in Hoa Xuan Ward, Deputy Secretary Triet expressed the gratitude of the municipal government and people to those who contributed to the revolutionary cause. He also affirmed that the city always made every effort to provide better care for social policy beneficiaries.

The city leader sent best Tet wishes to Mr. Rua and his family, and encouraged them to overcome difficulties and continue to live a good and exemplary life.

Mr. Dang Van Rua is a ¼ class war invalid. He was exposed to toxic chemicals during revolutionary activities and was imprisoned by the enemy while doing international duty.
