In his remarks at the event, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang informed some of remarkable achievements that the city gained in 2023.

Specifically, the Da Nang Master Plan for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the national government. This is considered a very important legal basis for orienting and concretising guidelines and policies for the city development.

With the goal of "no one is left behind", a total of VND 116 billion has been spent giving Tet gifts to social policy families, poor households, and vulnerable people.

He also attributed the city’s aforementioned socio-economic achievements partly to enormous contributions by religious dignitaries and followers.

Also at the meeting, representatives of religious organisations thanked the city leaders for their special care, and expressed their excitement and joy at the city's achievements in 2023, especially the improvement in economic and tourism fields.
