Delivering his speech at a meeting on Monday to review the performance of the Thai Phien Club for Senior Citizens in 2023, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People’s Committee Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet appreciated the club’s performance in 2023 with many practical, exciting, rich and effective activities.

The club got actively involved in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views, building the Party and political system, and criticising the city's guidelines and policies.

The Thai Phien Club is a shining example for the young generation and people from all walks of life in the city to have more confidence in the leadership and direction of the Party and government, making an important contribution to the city’s social-economic development.

According to Mr. Triet, 2024 is an important year, so the club requires a strong breakthrough to achieve the set targets. The municipal Party Committee implemented the theme "Boosting administrative reform, strengthening discipline, opening up investment resources, promoting economic growth and ensuring social security", and strived to achieve GRDP growth rate of 8 - 8.5%.

To achieve the above goals, the city leader hoped that the Thai Phien Club will always be a spiritual support for party committees and authorities at grassroots level, as well as continue to educate revolutionary traditions, patriotism, living ideals and noble actions for the city's officials and party members.

He believed that the Club will constantly develop and grow, and always be a reliable support, and the pride of the Party Committee, government and people of the city in the coming years.
