A total of 20 medical workers in Da Nang were honoured with ‘Shining White Blouse’ Award 2023 at a ceremony held on Tuesday in recognition of their outstanding efforts for Da Nang’s health care sector, as well as their great devotion to patients.

The "Shining White Blouse" is a separate award of Da Nang, aiming to recognise the tireless efforts, professionalism and kindness of doctors, nurses, and medical staff. This award also demonstrates the city's respect for the medical sector in general and each physician in particular.

The great dedication and continuous cultivation of medical ethics and expertise of each physician not only bring health value and strong spiritual encouragement to patients, but also a fire of inspiration for other young generations of doctors and nurses because of the noble mission of the medical profession to protect and care for "humanity's most precious capital".

Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, on behalf of the city leaders, praised the tireless efforts and strong dedication made by the health sector over the past time, especially in the context of many difficulties and challenges.

He expressed that the entire health sector will continue to make efforts to promote good traditions and achievements; maintain political qualities and medical ethics; and actively study to improve professional qualifications.

He also wished the health sector to continue to overcome all difficulties, and synchronously and effectively deploy solutions to improve the quality of healthcare services, thereby contributing to the successful completion of the city’s socio-economic development targets.

Doctor Tran Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director in charge of the municipal Department of Health, remarked that in 2023, the city's health sector already well completed its tasks despite many difficulties and challenges.

In that difficult context, the health sector always received close attention, leadership, and direction from the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the city, especially the solidarity and best efforts of the medical team.

On the occasion, a group and nine individuals were awarded with Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister in recognition of their outstanding achievements for 5 consecutive years from 2018 - 2022.

Chairman of the municipal People's Committee awarded three emulation flags and two Certificates of Merit to groups leading the emulation movements launched by the Health Sector Emulation Sector.
