Accordingly, the participants were informed about a number of basic contents in Viet Nam's Law of the Sea and Viet Nam's Border Guard Law, plus regulations on fighting against smuggling, trade fraud, and drug crimes in the city and on preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
On the occasion, the Command of the Viet Nam Coast Guard Region 2 presented the national flags and 30 gifts, worth VND1 million each, to fishermen in difficult circumstances.
This was a meaningful and practical activity to encourage fishermen to overcome difficulties and rise up in life, thereby contributing to consolidating and strengthening the solidarity and attachment between the army and the people.
