Cold, rainy weather is making its way to Da Nang and elsewhere in the mid-central region from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai provinces, according to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Due to the influence of cold air, from March 19 - 20, Da Nang is experiencing scattered showers and some places have thunderstorms.

The coastal areas stretching from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue are seeing showers and thunderstorms in some places, see northeast winds at levels 6 to 7, and rough sea with waves as high as 1.5-2.5m.

Strong northeasterly winds at level 7, and gustiness of levels 8 to 9, along with rough seas with waves as high as 1.5-3, are forecast for the waters of the Hoang Sa Archipelago.

Weather forecasters warn that strong winds, lightning, hail and tornadoes often occur along with strong thunderstorms.
