Da Nang youth involved in building a civilised urban area

On Saturday, the Da Nang Youth Union deployed a number of activities in response to the peak day ‘Volunteering to build a civilised urban area’ which is as part of the ‘Youth Month 2024’ in the city.

The programme aimed to raise awareness, roles and responsibilities of Youth Union officials and members, along with the youth, in creating a civilised urban lifestyle, protecting the environment, and building roads with the following criteria: bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilised - safe.

During the peak day, the municipal Youth Union and its chapters at district levels simultaneously publicised non-cash payments, guided small traders at wet markets and store owners to install and use online payment apps, conducted environmental sanitation campaigns, and removed illegal advertisements.

On the occasion, the municipal Youth Union inaugurated the youth project "Bright Alley - Safe Alley" in alley No. 2, K129/22 Tieu La Street in Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District.

In addition, local Youth Union members visited and presented gifts to volunteers who are responsible for guiding people to use online public services at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Hoa Cuong Nam Ward. At the same tine, the "Youth Bookshelf" model was launched at the Youth Union organization in Hai Chau District.

Deputy Secretary of the municipal Youth Union cum Chairman of the city’s Youth Federation Nguyen Ba Duan said that the peak day ‘Volunteering to build a civilised urban area’ was an annual activity and the unique mark of the municipal Youth Union.

This year, a number of activities were carried out with many specific tasks, contributing to raising awareness of Youth Union members, the youth and people in implementing a civilised lifestyle, and creating a green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape. At the same time, it was a useful experience for the city's youth.
