Thanks to her active involvement in community activities, and earning the trust of local authorities and union members, in 2011, Mrs Nga was elected as the Chairwoman of the Women's Union chapter in Khuong My Hamlet.
Mrs Nga actively collaborates with the Front Committee, union chapters, and organisations to propagate the Party's directives, and State policies and laws, as well as specialised union activities for union members, women, especially effective production models, and exemplary women in union work.
In addition to coordinating with union chapters and organisations, the woman also takes the time to visit each family to encourage female members to actively participate in cultural and artistic activities and focal programmes initiated by various levels of women union organisations. Included are the "Excellence in Household and Community Work", and "Women actively study, work creatively, build warm, equal, progressive, and happy families" movements.
The Women's Union chapter in Khuong My Hamlet has nearly 220 members, the majority of whom are engaged in agriculture and industrial work, making organising activities quite challenging. To ensure effective operations, Mrs Nga has to divide and arrange tasks reasonably within the time and workload constraints of each group of women.
Every Saturday and Sunday, Mrs Nga calls on members to collect scrap materials, clean up trash, and clear drainage channels to ensure environmental hygiene, especially in combating agricultural waste.
On an annual basis, the women union launches 3 - 4 fundraising campaigns, strongly connecting with benefactors to provide gifts to needy families and diligent, studious children during festive occasions and the Lunar New Year. Additionally, the union carries out many models suitable for rural areas, such as reclaiming vacant land for agriculture, rice jars of love, and collecting scrap materials to raise funds and care for union members' livelihoods.
Mrs Nga has initiated successful models to benefit the community. Notable among them is to plant trees in unused land, with Mrs Nga securing funding from volunteers to purchase seedlings and fertilizers.
In 2022, the Women's Union planted over 1,000 acacia trees on 2 hectares, resulting in significant growth. Additionally, Mrs Nga's "Mother Supports - Love Connection" programme swiftly addresses the needs of disadvantaged families in the community by mobilizing support from various organizations and individuals.
For decades, Mrs Nga has acted as a bridge to mobilise financial aid and livelihood support for hundreds of members and women facing hardship to stabilize their lives. The Women's Union chapter in Khuong My Hamlet always gives livelihood assistance to those in difficult circumstances.
With her responsibilities, Mrs Nga has gradually leveraged the internal strength of union members, raising nearly VND 200 million to implement social welfare and charitable activities in 2023.
"From the results in social welfare activities, the community has shown immense support. Furthermore, organizing activities aimed at the community also ignites a spirit of solidarity, mutual help among union members, contributing to building a comprehensive, effective union foundation," Mrs Nga expressed.
Thanks to Mrs Nga's tireless efforts and the enthusiastic response from union members, every family takes care of economic development, education, and nurturing their children well. As a result, there are no individuals engaging in crime or social evils. For decades, the Women's Union chapter in Khuong My Hamlet has been commended by the Women's Union at all levels for their outstanding achievements in fulfilling tasks.
In addition to her social work, Mrs Nga is also a role model for caring for family life and raising grandchildren. She is honoured by the Women's Union of Hoa Phong Commune and the Women's Union of Hoa Vang District for her outstanding achievements in fulfilling union duties.
As shared by Mrs Nguyen Thi Thuong, the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hoa Phong Commune, with diligence, dynamism, and dedication, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nga deserves to be a shining example for union members and local women to learn from and emulate.
