Preparatory works for Quan The Am Festival 2024 done meticulously andprofessionally
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong held a meeting on Tuesday to review the preparatory works for the Quan The Am (Avalokitesvara) Festival 2024 scheduled from March 26 - 29 (from the 17th to 20th days of the second lunar month).

Till date, the preparatory works for the forthcoming religious festival have been basically completed.
Reception, logistics, religion, and promotional information activities have been carried out by units, departments, agencies, and localities in accordance with the proposed plan.
The organisers have recently approved the arts programmes at the Avalokiteśvara Pagoda, and at the opening and closing ceremonies of the festival.
This year’s festival, from March 26 – 29, will feature more than 30 religious, cultural - artistic, and physical training - sports activities. Also, there will be six booths displaying Non Nuoc stone carving products, and 47 outstanding works at the 2024 Non Nuoc Ngu Hanh Son photo contest.
Notably, the traditional boat race will see the participation of 4 male teams from the districts of Hoa Vang, Son Tra, Hai Chau and Lien Chieu, and 4 female teams from the districts of Ngu Hanh Son, Hai Chau, Cam Le and Thanh Khe.
Moreover, security - order, sanitation - environment and healthcare work for the festival have been carefully planned, aimed at ensuring a civilised festival and the "5 nos" criteria.
In his closing speech at the meeting, Vice Chairman Cuong highly appreciated relevant units and localities for their proactive and drastic participation for the upcoming festival.
He also emphasised that the Quan The Am Festival was one of the city’s four highlight cultural events and festivals during the year. He, therefore, hoped that all organisational work must be done methodically, meticulously, professionally, and safely in a bid to leave a good impression on residents and tourists.
