A workshop was held in Da Nang on Thursday to promote cooperation and share experiences in fire prevention, firefighting and rescue between Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia.
A workshop in progress |
Co-organised by the Ministries of Public Security and the Ministries of Home Affairs of Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia, the workshop was an important basis for the functional units in general, and the Police Departments of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue in particular, of the three countries to strengthen cooperative activities in the field of fire prevention and rescue.
The contents proposed for cooperation at the event showed the strong determination to deeply cooperate between the fire prevention and rescue police departments of the three countries in the spirit of "Solidarity, sharing and supporting each other to improve fighting capacity".
During the event, representatives of the Ministries of Public Security and the Ministries of Home Affairs of the three countries discussed three main groups of issues, including the situation of fire prevention and rescue in each country; cooperation directions in the future; and coordination mechanism to participate in firefighting and rescue activities when there are fires or incidents in border areas.
In recent years, the Viet Nam's Firefighting and Rescue Police has always been proactive in carrying out its responsibilities with international issues of firefighting and fight prevention and rescue work.
On the occasion, an exhibition featuring photos of Viet Nam's fire prevention and rescue work, and displaying some modern equipment of Viet Nam's Firefighting and Rescue Police was organised by the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security.
