Da Nang's delegation on working visit to Truong Sa Archipelago
A working dgroup of Da Nang, led by Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Council Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, on Friday, headed to Truong Sa (Spratly) Island District.

According to the plan, the group with a total of 70 members will visit a number of islands in Truong Sa and the DK 1 platform, as well as present gifts and participate in cultural exchange activities with officers, soldiers and people of Truong Sa Island District.
Speaking at a farewell ceremony for the group on Friday, Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh, Deputy Commander of the Da Nang Military Command, who is Deputy Head of the delegation, said that the purpose of the trip was to raise awareness of the protection of national sovereignty on sea and islands among Party members, government officials and civil servants of Da Nang, as well as strengthen solidarity and close relationships between officials and people of the city, and soldiers and people of Truong Sa Island District.
At the same time, it paid tribute to the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives to protect the sovereignty of the country’s sea and islands; and encourage navy soldiers to complete their assigned tasks.
The city's working group is part of the working delegation No. 5 with 190 members in total. The delegation No.5 has the participation of delegates and members of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Thua Thien Hue and Quang Ngai provinces.
