Accordingly, the Da Nang Power Company Limited (PC Da Nang) proactively collaborates with local authorities to grasp the organization timing and locations of festivals and events to arrange priority electricity supply methods, ensuring safe, continuous, and stable power sources.
The estimated total system load in the city during the holiday days may reach a maximum capacity from 375 to 395 MW, with electricity production ranging from 7.2 million kWh/day to 9 million kWh/day. Therefore, the unit is ready to mobilize backup power sources at locations where important events take place to supply electricity in case of prolonged national grid power outage.
In particular, PC Da Nang will not carry out power cuts during the holiday, except in cases of handling incidents or special circumstances as per direction from authorized agencies.
PC Da Nang also requires its 6 affiliated Power Companies and High Voltage Grid Operation and Management Teams to deploy standby forces, spare equipment, fuel, communication systems, and transportation vehicles, with leadership on standby 24/24 hours to promptly respond to any abnormal incidents that may occur throughout the holiday period.
During this period, the demand for electricity is forecasted to increase, and some power lines and substations may be overloaded, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the risk of power grid incidents may arise from construction activities near power lines or from people flying kites, setting off metal-coated paper fireworks, releasing balloons near power lines, etc. Therefore, PC Da Nang intensifies the dissemination of safety measures for electricity on various media platforms to raise public awareness and ensure that people do not violate the safety clearances around power lines.
Throughout the holiday period, PC Da Nang's subordinate units conduct patrol inspections and promptly handle any defects on the power grid, ready to quickly address damages and incidents. They promptly report any abnormal phenomena or incidents on the power grid within the scope of their management to develop timely solutions.
In the event of an electricity-related incident, residents and customers can contact the hotline 19001909 for the power sector to handle promptly.
