The ‘Initial public firefighting point’ model made its debut in Thanh Khe Tay Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang, on Wednesday.

A special feature of the model is to take advantage of available water sources at the place where the fire occurs. At the same time, the model promotes ‘Four-on-the-spot' motto, and builds a sense of joining hands, and be ready to help neighbours to extinguish fires promptly and quickly.

Right after the launch of the model, many households in residential group No.53 took part in the fire prevention and rescue drill.

In the coming time, the model will be expanded in many residential groups in Thanh Khe Tay Ward.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tam, residing in Thanh Khe Tay Ward, shared "This activity is really useful for me as well as the households living in the area. Thanks to this, we understand the firefighting and rescue plan when a fire breaks out. Hopefully this model will be replicated to other areas."

Lieutenant Colonel Truong Huy Chuong, Deputy Chief of Thanh Khe District Police, emphasised that the public firefighting point model not only raises public awareness about timely firefighting and rescue plans before the arrival of professional firefighting forces, but also effectively exploits water sources and firefighting systems in residential areas.
