Recently, Lieutenant Ngo Thanh Dat, Secretary of the Youth Union organisation of the Police Department in Lien Chieu District, has consistently shown creativity and dynamism in various youth movements and activities, as well as effectively implemented many meaningful initiatives to support needy people and students.

After graduating from the People's Security University in 2017, Ngo Thanh Dat worked for the Security Team of Lien Chieu District Police Department. He has always strived to successfully fulfil his assigned tasks.

In 2022, Lieutenant Dat was entrusted by the unit's Youth Union members with the important position of Secretary of the Youth Union organisation of Lien Chieu District Police Department.

He always noticed that Lien Chieu was densely populated as it is home to many universities, colleges, and industrial zones, making its security situation quite complex.

Based on this situation, Lieutenant Dat has proactively proposed to establish the "Digitalised Rental Property Block" model with a total budget of over VND 50 million.

Accordingly, the Youth Union organization of the district-level Police Department has connected with suppliers of security cameras at suitable prices, ensuring quality for landlords.

Depending on landlord's needs, the police officers have assisted them to install cameras, and provided them guidance on installation, and using smartphone applications for monitoring to ensure security in the rental property.

Additionally, each rental property block has been equipped with integrated instructional boards with QR codes for convenient access to information and measures to ensure public security, fire prevention, and the use of online public services.

Participating in the model, residents have been guided to join the district police's Zalo security group to promptly access information about new criminal methods and exchange information about the local situation.

At the same time, they are instructed on how to use the VNeID application to register and activate electronic identity accounts, and the steps to register for online public services.

So far, under Lieutenant Ngo Thanh Dat's leadership, the Youth Union organisation of Lien Chieu District Police Department has successfully supported over 30 "digitalized" rental property blocks.

In addition, Lieutenant Dat also initiated the "Vanguard Youth, Patrol, Self-Management to Ensure Social Order, Traffic Safety" model with over 150 night patrols involving more than 900 members and young people. They already detected 30 cases of violations of the Road Traffic Law, and 9 cases involving 19 subjects, along with many related exhibits.

Also, he has actively participated in the collaborative team of Directive Board 35 of Lien Chieu District Party Committee and Directive Board 35 of the district police. He has posted hundreds of positive news and articles on the " New Day in Lien Chieu " and "Da Nang Wave" Facebook pages.

As the Head of the Administration Department of "Youth of Lien Chieu District Police" Fagebook page, Dat has timely carried out propaganda work, informing the public about activities ensuring political security, social order and safety, youth union work, and youth movements of the district police to the people.

Moreover, he has organized activities for members and youth to discuss books about Uncle Ho and donate 85 books in various genres to the city police’s library, thereby promoting learning movement and following the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

Additionally, Lieutenant Ngo Thanh Dat has collaborated with youth union units, and schools in the district to organise 10 propaganda sessions, disseminating legal knowledge on cybersecurity, traffic safety, and drug prevention; 2 mock trials involving over 3,000 members, youth, students, and pupils; and presenting many gifts worth a total of VND 10 million to the needy.

Besides, he has organised charity programmes such as "Spring of Love"; "Sharing Love"; "Accompanying Children to School"; "Loving Moonlit Nights"; "Children's Dreams"; offered livelihoods, and given gifts to poor households, disadvantaged families, poor pupils, excellent and diligent students, children with disabilities, and poor patients; and helped people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, storms, and floods in the district with a total budget of over VND 200 million.

On top of that, he has established propaganda teams responsible for guiding and supporting people in registering electronic identities, using online public services, and electronic payments. Additionally, training courses have been organised for over 200 members and youth on digital transformation work in the district.

Thanks to his great efforts in youth activities, Lieutenant Ng Thanh Dat has been honoured for excellently completing assigned tasks for many consecutive years. He was awarded the Base-level Exemplary Soldier title and the Certificate of Merit by the Youth Union for implementing the movement "Youth of the People's Police studying and implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings" from 2022 to 2023. He also received the "Outstanding Exemplary Youth of Da Nang Police" award in 2023.
