Da Tay A Island - a big boat in the middle of the sea
If the Truong Sa Island District is dubbed the "capital" of the islands and the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago as a whole, the Da Tay A Island is considered the centre of the islands and is likened to a big boat in the middle of the sea.

The Da Tay Island consists of 4 separate small islands separated by water channels. It is located at latitude 8°52 'N and longitude 112°15’30’’E.
The Da Tay island cluster is a canarium-shaped coral beach, located in the northeast - southwest direction, with a ring-shaped lake in the middle. It is about 9.1km long, and about 5.6km wide.

The area of Da Tay beach is about 41km2. The average height of the beach clusters is from 0.2-0.3m. The coral shelf of the Da Tay beach can be divided into 4 separate areas which are divided by lakes. The eastern coral reef alone has a raised sandbank with the highest point of about 0.7m.

The Da Tay area is formed with islands called Da Tay A, Da Tay B, Da Tay C. Among them, the Da Tay A island has a large area and is invested in spacious infrastructure. It is like a big, sturdy boat in the East Sea. Notably, there is a vast wharf with clear turquoise water in front of the island which serves as a shelter for fishing vessels to avoid storms, and receive food and fresh water sent from the mainland.
The Da Tay A Island looks like a raft or a big boat in the middle of the sea, but when approaching, visitors immediately feel the vibrant and prosperous life there.
