A fire broke out in a scrap warehouse located on Ton Dan Street, Hoa Phat Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang at about 1:00pm on Wednesday, sending up huge columns of smoke.

A scrap warehouse went up in flames on Wednesday afternoon, but no injuries were reported.

Fueled by plastic and other highly flammable materials, the fire spread rapidly throughout the warehouse.

Upon receiving the news from local residents, dozens of firefighters, and some fire engines, were dispatched to the scene.

Due to the large fire and rising smoke, the rescue force had to split into many directions to extinguish the fire.

It took firefighters over one hour to bring the blaze under control. The fire did not cause any loss of life, but destroyed most of the scrap warehouse and many assets inside.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities, and the cost of the damage is being estimated.
