Maintaining safe and friendly tourism environment
Da Nang is well-known among both domestic and international tourists as a safe, friendly, and hospitable destination. However, there are still some individuals whose actions and violations in business activities negatively affect the overall tourism environment of the city.

Recently, a hotel located on Ho Nghinh Street in Son Tra District was fined by inspectors from the Department of Tourism’s Inspectorate following complaints from tourists regarding cleanliness and staff attitude.
Immediately after receiving the information, the department's inspectorate, in collaboration with the Son Tra district -based Department of Cultural and Information, conducted a surprise inspection at the hotel and identified violations such as failing to publicly list the prices of goods and services and not complying with the reporting regulations to the relevant state authorities. The Department of Tourism’s Inspectorate issued a fine of VND 5.5 million for these violations.
Previously, the department's inspection team also conducted inspections at several travel service businesses and discovered violations in tourism activities. These businesses were fined for not complying with reporting regulations to State authorities and failing to publicly display their travel service business licenses at their office headquarters.
Even minor violations can significantly impact the overall tourism environment of the city. Therefore, to enhance the quality of services, promote civilised behavior towards tourists, and build the image of Da Nang’s tourism, in addition to issuing codes of conduct for tourism activities, the tourism sector needs to strengthen its inspection and surprise checks on tourism accommodation businesses in the locality.
Strict penalties should be imposed on violators, especially those using star-rating symbols in advertisements without the proper certification from the relevant authorities or following complaints and feedback from guests.
Recently, many positive images of residents, tourism industry workers, and functional forces helping tourists recover lost or misplaced items have left a good impression on visitors. Upon receiving their belongings, many tourists have been deeply touched and grateful to the people of Da Nang. These commendable actions by the authorities and residents will be spread more widely by the tourists themselves.
As the number of visitors to Da Nang increases, the city must pay even more attention to services, ensuring that tourists experience the best possible tourism environment.
It is known that in the first seven months of this year, the Tourist Support Centre under the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre assisted 46,600 visitors at the office and information desks at the airport; as well as handled 4,150 phone calls, 187 emails, and 4,670 messages from tourists via social media applications.
The centre also coordinated with relevant agencies to address 235 situations related to lost luggage, phones, and personal documents, as well as handling tourists’ complaints about transportation and hotel services.
These small actions by various departments have contributed to enhancing the brand, elevating Da Nang's tourism destination, boosting media effects, and spreading local tourism image, thereby attracting more domestic and international tourists to the city.
