The meaningful activity was jointly organised by the Authority of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, the municipal Youth Union, the local Students' Association, the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports and other units.

The campaign "Clean up Son Tra - Diving to collect trash - Coral rescue" was carried out in the Hon Sup area and Son Tra Peninsula from the intersection of Hoang Sa - Le Van Luong route to the Dong Dinh Museum.

Accordingly, the volunteers, who were students from the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports, the Thanh Khe Swimming Club, the Da Nang Free Diving Club, and the Da Nang Sup and Kayak Club, were divided into small groups to do physical exercises before going into the water. Each group was given necessary tools to clean and remove ghost nets stuck in coral reefs.

Regularly organised by the Authority of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches and some relevant units, the "Clean up Son Tra" programme aims to collect trash and clean up the natural environment on land and underwater.

It contributes to spreading the message of green living, and calling on the community to join hands to build the peninsula into a "green tourist destination".
