Raising awareness in tourist accommodation business activities

Representatives of tourism firms and accommodation service providers in Da Nang’s Hai Chau District attended a training course on Wednesday on new regulations about tourism business activities.

During the event, a spokesperson for the municipal Department of Tourism informed the attendees about business conditions for tourist accommodation services; minimum requirements in terms of technical facilities and services for tourists; some notes on ensuring security, safety and quality; and reporting statistics on business results of tourist accommodation establishments. Also, there were notes to avoid violations and penalties when not ensuring the conditions for doing business in accommodation services according to regulations.

In addition, inspectors from the Department of Tourism also disseminated contents related to regulations on business operations of tourist accommodation services, and contents under its inspection and handling authority.

Also at the event, there was also a dialogue between the leaders of Hai Chau District and accommodation establishments to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of business operations.

Businesses were interested in such issues as temporary residence declaration of guests, regulations and procedures implemented in practice, tax declaration and electronic invoices.

According to Vice Chairwoman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Phan Thi Thang Loi, in order to support accommodation facilities well as promote the development of services in the city, the district authorities hope that through the training course, businesses and business households in the district will have a better understanding of information and regulations on business activities in the coming time, contributing to further promoting tourism services in the city.
