On Thursday, the municipal Department of Science and Technology held a press conference to introduce the Da Nang Innovation and Startup Festival - SURF 2024, which will take place on August 29 and 30 at the University of Science and Technology, a member school of the University of Da Nang -UD).

This is an annual event for the innovation and startup community in Da Nang; gathering the participation and connecting many elements of the startup ecosystem; connecting and supporting startup projects to seek business opportunities, promote products and access domestic and international investment funds.

Themed ‘Reaching Creativity - Connecting Globally’, SURF 2024 conveys the message ‘Da Nang – the City of Innovation and Creativity’. Within the framework of the event, a number of main activities are running such as the exhibition of innovative startup activities on a virtual reality platform from August 15 to December 30; the Innovative Start-up Competition, including 2 rounds with 30 participating teams; workshops on ‘the Da Nang - Seoul innovation space connection’ and ‘Investment attraction in Da Nang - South Korea - Singapore innovation, ‘Pioneering technology - Sustainable startup’, ‘Model and network for developing student startup clubs in Da Nang’; presenting ideas - connecting investment in startups; exhibition on innovative startup activities for more than 90 booths participating directly at the festival; launching the Da Nang - Singapore innovation space.
