Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh highly appreciated the outstanding results and efforts made by the municipal Women's Union and its chapters at all levels when meeting leaders of the Union on the occasion of the 94^th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024).

He wished all women in Da Nang in general, and officials and members of the Union in particular, good health, happiness and always be beautiful in order to contribute to building Da Nang into a rich and civilised city.

He added that the meeting with the Union’s cadres was an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of the organisation over the past 94 years, express gratitude and honour the contributions of generations of women, and review the outstanding results in the activities and movements of women in Da Nang.

Within the framework of the programme, the municipal Women's Union launched emulation movements to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Da Nang, including launching and operating a trusted application software "Prevention and response to violence and abuse against women and children", supporting the construction and repair of 10 charity houses; and awarding100 means of livelihood to women in difficult circumstances.

On the occasion, the municipal Women's Union awarded "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" medals from the Central Committee of Viet Nam Women's Union to individuals who have made great contributions to women's work; as well as rewarded individuals with outstanding achievements in the songwriting contest praising Vietnamese women and mothers and the 2024 National Women's Startup Contest.

Also on the same morning, when visiting and presenting flowers to the municipal Women's Union, People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi sent her best wishes to women in Da Nang.

She expressed her wish that the municipal Women's Union and its chapters all levels will continue promoting their pioneering and exemplary role, setting good examples in life and work, and becoming female cadres who are dynamic, adaptable and integrated with modern social trends.
