25 teachers honoured with "Outstanding Da Nang Teacher" Award
The Da Nang Department of Education and Training held a ceremony on Tuesday to honour outstanding teachers in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh highlighted that the "Outstanding Da Nang Teacher" Award is not only a personal honour but also a symbol of gratitude, and recognition of the silent and great contributions of teachers to the city's education sector.
He congratulated 25 teachers who were honoured with the "Outstanding Da Nang Teacher" Award, emphasising that these were shining examples of expertise, and the embodiment of love for the profession and great dedication to each lesson and each pupils.
He hoped that the honourees will continue to inspire the teaching staff and multiply shining examples, creating a competitive atmosphere in each school towards the goal of comprehensive education.
Mr. Minh also requested the education and training sector to continue well implementing policies and guidelines related to education and training, especially resolutely and effectively carrying out Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee.
He stressed the need for schools citywide to further improve the effectiveness and quality of the emulation movement "Good Teaching - Good Learning". Each teacher is a spreading nucleus, and a leader of the learning movement, as well as plays a crucial role in discovering and nurturing young talents, and helping pupils develop both knowledge and life skills, he added.

In the 2023 - 2024 school year, 61 pupils won prizes, including 2 first prizes, at the National Excellent Student Contest, and a pupil took the first prize at the UPU International Letter-Writing Competition. At the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival, the city’s education and training sector ranked 3rd with 64 gold medals.

With the aforementioned results, a school was awarded the Third-class Labour Medal by the State President; and 4 collectives received the Government's Emulation Flags. Also, 2 collectives and 6 individuals were presented with Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
Additionally, 18 collectives were honoured with Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training, a collective with the Emulation Flag and 6 collectives with Certificates of Merit by the municipal People's Committee. 12 collectives received the title "Excellent Labour Collective" and 1 individual got the title "Municipal-level Emulation Fighter".
