Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District and Hai Phong City’s Hong Bang District recently had a working programme to exchange information and experience in implementing a number of effective models on trade - service development, and developing OCOP and typical products.

The working programme aimed concretise Conclusion No. 205-KL/TUĐN-TUHP dated June 9, 2022 of the Standing Boards of Da Nang Party Committee and Hai Phong Party Committee at the conference on cooperation and development between the two localities, as well as the plans of the People's Committees of the two cities and two districts.

During the event, the two localities informed each other about the socio-economic development situation; as well as exchanged information and experience in implementing a number of effective models on trade - service development, and developing OCOP and typical products.

The two sides signed a cooperation agreement with a focus on strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences in budget collection; the improvement of investment and business environment; the development of trade, services, tourism and nighttime economy; and the formation of walking streets.

Also, they will pay special attention to seeking solutions to expand the market, optimally exploiting the potential and strengths of both localities, and enhancing the promotion of tourist destinations and products, thereby contributing to boosting the development of the tourism industry, and creating a driving force for the economic development of the two localities.

The two sides agreed that a project named "Lien Chieu" will be placed in Hong Bang District and the project called "Hong Bang" will be installed in Lien Chieu District in 2025.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee Nguyen Ha Bac hoped that the close relationship between Hong Bang and Lien Chieu districts will be further strengthened in the time to come, which will bring many practical benefits, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the two big cities of Hai Phong and Da Nang.
