Nguyen Duc Hai, born in 1996, residing in Hoa Cuong Nam Ward, Hai Chau District, has strived to overcome difficulties and become a typical example of young people starting a business in the district.

Since his school days, Hai has both studied and worked for a flower shop to cover his study expenses. Thanks to that, he has a great passion for floral arrangement.

In 2015, Hai decided to open a flower shop. Mr. Hai said that to create a beautiful flower basket, the worker needs three important factors: aesthetic sense, creativity and skillful hands. Moreover, the worker also needs to maintain a spirit of learning, improving skills and updating new flower arrangement trends to create products that meet customers' expectations.

With his passion and love for the profession, his shop "Thien Hai" has a stable source of customers. Dozens of flower bouquets and baskets are sold every day.

On special occasions of the year, he has to hire 3-4 more seasonal workers. The shop has an average profit of VND 20-30 million per month, creating jobs for many local workers.

In addition, he regularly gets involved in sharing start-up experiences with youth union members and young people in the district. Notably, he and his relatives offer 300 free portions of lunch to workers in difficult circumstances twice a month.

"The most important thing to be successful is to always nurture dreams, motivate the team and work together towards a sustainable future" Hai confided.

Meanwhile, Tran Cong Minh, born in 1989, has become a shining example in starting a business and developing the local agricultural economy in Thanh Khe District. Currently, Minh raises 50 pigs, and more than 2,000 chickens and ducks in an over 4ha farm in Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District.

Also, he mobilises surrounding households to join the Thanh Khe Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative, contributing to promoting clean and sustainable agriculture in the locality.

In addition, he cooperates with young people in the district to develop distribution channels; bring products to the market through clean food stores, restaurants and eateries; do business on social networks; and build a clean supply chain.

Every day, the Thanh Khe Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative supplies the market with about 100kg of meat. The monthly income of members is more than VND 10 million each.

With the motto "Delicious from the quality, genuine from the heart", his facility has become a trusted shopping address for many consumers. Mr. Minh said that aside from strictly following biosafety measures throughout the entire process, he chooses to use suitable breeds and animal feed.

“In the coming time, I will continue to expand production scale, improve product quality, and at the same time, apply advanced science and technology to increase productivity and economic efficiency” said Mr. Minh.

In 2024, the municipal Youth Union introduced jobs to nearly 9,000 young people; provided career counseling for 25,000 young people; and supported 3 units in participating in the central-level startup projects.
