Da Nang takes drastic actions to ensure traffic safety during Tet
Traffic police in Da Nang will launch a peak period to ensure traffic safety and social order during the New Year, Lunar New Year and the 2025 Spring Festivals from December 15, 2024 to February 14, 2025.

Accordingly, on roads, the traffic police will focus on handling violations of alcohol or drug concentration while driving, exceeding speed limits, driving in the wrong lane, and illegal stopping and parking.
For commercial transport vehicles, the attention will be paid to checking and handling additional violations of driving beyond the prescribed time, not installing a journey monitoring device, and using hand-held devices, phones or other electronic devices while driving.
In addition, the traffic police will concentrate on checking and handling pupils who violate traffic laws and those who hand over vehicles to pupils.
On waterways, the force will check and handle violations related to the transportation of goods and passengers; points of gathering and loading and unloading goods; and points with tourism, entertainment and recreation activities, festivals, and overnight accommodation on inland waterways.
The acts that need to be focused on checking and handling will include transporting goods beyond the safe waterline mark; transporting more people than the prescribed number; violating the operating conditions of vehicles, crew members, and vehicle operators; and violating regulations on exploitation, gathering, business, transportation of goods, passengers...
As for railways, the competent authorities will work with specialised sectors to inspect and handle violations that cause unsafe railway traffic, especially at level crossings and self-opened paths; as well as inspect compliance with regulations on train safety by railway staff, conditions of circulation of railway vehicles.
