Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang paid inspection visits, on Wednesday, to the construction sites of the project on building the Quang Da Bridge and its approaching roads, and the project on renovating and upgrading National Highway 14B.

After listening to the report on the site clearance work of the project, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang acknowledged and commended Hoa Vang District, the investor and contractor for being very active and proactive in site clearance work, basically meeting the construction progress requirements.

He requested construction units to make more efforts to complete the remaining items before March 15 to ensure that the bridge will open to traffic on March 29. He affirmed that this is an important project to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang.

He asked the relevant units and authorities in Hoa Vang District to work with Dien Ban Town of Quang Nam Province to unify the progress of the roads leading to the bridge on the Quang Nam side so that the project can be completed synchronously.

Regarding the project on renovating and upgrading National Highway 14B, Mr. Quang highly praised authorities in Hoa Vang District for their innovative approach and bold proposal to remove difficulties in site clearance for this project.

At the same time, he urged investors and contractors to mobilise human resources, machinery and equipment to speed up the project's progress, ensuring compliance with their commitments to the city.

It is known that the project to upgrade and expand a section of National Highway 14B passing through the city has a length of 7.58km. The starting point is at Km 24+633 National Highway 14B in Hoa Nhon Commune, adjacent to the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway, whilst the end point is at Km 32+185.09 National Highway 14B in Hoa Khuong Commune. The project has a total investment of more than VND 788 billion, and is carried out from 2022-2025.

Meanwhile, work started on the project on building Quang Da Bridge and its approaching roads on December 14, 2023, and it is expected to be completed in May 2025.
