The Da Nang People's Committee has just planned to pay pre-Tet visits and give gifts to people with meritorious services and their relatives, and some organisations and individuals.

Accordingly, the city will give State President’s gifts, worth VND 300,000 - VND 600,000 each, to beneficiaries according to Decision No. 1301/QD-CTN dated November 27, 2024.

Also, the city will present gifts, valued at VND 1 million each, to workers, civil servants, and labourers in difficult circumstances; those who have suffered work accidents, natural disasters and serious illnesses, or who will not return home for Tet; members of the War Veterans’ Association chapters at all levels with serious illnesses; sick members of the Thai Phien Club; and Truong Sa soldiers.

The city will pay pre-Tet visits and give gifts to 50 units and localities, 5 retired cadres under the Central management living in the city, and 14 typical policy families, as well as assign departments and agencies to visit and give gifts to 33 social protection facilities and mass organisations.

The Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city will support gifts according to Resolution No. 275/2019/NQ-HDND to ethnic minority groups in communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Phu and Hoa Ninh in Hoa Vang District.

Aside from giving gifts according to Resolution No. 275/2019/NQ-HDND, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city will offer an additional cash gift of VND 500,000 from the city budget and an in-kind gift of VND 200,000 from the Fund for the Poor for the needy in the 3 abovementioned communes.

Cash gifts of VND 500,000 each from the Fund for the Poor will be donated to near-poor households, and households in especially difficult circumstances.

The total budget for Tet gifts in the city is expected to be more than VND 126 billion. Of the figure, nearly VND 7.5 billion will come from the central budget, over VND 108.4 billion from the city budget, and more than VND 10.2 billion from the city’s Fund for the Poor.
