Over VND 6.6 billion raised for "For the Poor" Fund

The Standing Board of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Chau District in Da Nang held a meeting on Tuesday to review its performance in 2024 and deploy a programme of coordinated action in 2025.

In 2024, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Chau District and its chapters at all levels promoted their role and responsibility in the political system and social life, especially the work of supervision, social criticism and propaganda, and gathering of people from all walks of life to promote the strength of great national unity.

The Congresses of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and wards for the 2024-2025 term were organised successfully.

Also, 14 new models in implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas" and emulation movements were carried out effectively. More than VND 6.6 billion was raised for the district’s "For the Poor" Fund, exceeding the target by 27%.

During the meeting, the Standing Board of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the Hai Chau District signed a programme of coordinated action in 2025 with a focus on gathering and promoting the great solidarity of the people; improving the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism; and encouraging people from all walks of life to effectively carry out campaigns and movements, and build prosperous and united residential areas.

On the occasion, 20 collectives and individuals were awarded with Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee. Three collectives and an individual received Certificates of Merit from the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang.

Chairman of the Hai Chau District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 collectives and 11 individuals. The Standing Board of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the district presented Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements.
