Recently, while collecting and sweeping rubbish at night in the Dien Bien Phu underpass, Thanh Khe District, Ms Nguyen Thi Ha Quyen, a worker from Team 2, Thanh Khe Environment Enterprise, found a wallet containing personal documents, bank cards, and cash. Unable to contact the owner, Ms Quyen handed over the wallet to her enterprise, which was located and returned it to the owner after four days of searching.

Previously, Ms Luu Thi Duyen, a colleague of Ms Quyen, also found a wallet containing personal documents, bank cards, and cash. After some searching, the wallet was returned to its owner the following day. According to Mr Nguyen Viet Hung, Director of Thanh Khe Environment Enterprise, workers have repeatedly found and returned lost items. They often make personal efforts to find the owners and promptly return their belongings.

In cases where standard methods fail to locate the owners, workers report the incidents and hand over the items to the enterprise leadership for further assistance in finding and returning them. Those who return lost items are reported to the company and recognised as examples of “good people, good deeds,” helping to promote and spread these noble actions.

In 2024, Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and its labour union acknowledged many such exemplary individuals. Among them, Ms Tran Vu Ha Lan, a worker at Hai Chau Environment Enterprise, was recognised three times for returning valuable items, such as high-end smartphones and cash. Ms Nguyen Thi Thuan received awards twice, in 2023 and 2024, for similar actions.
