The Social Work Centre under the Da Nang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs is coordinating with some units to simultaneously launch a campaign to inspect and strictly handle the situation of beggars in the city during the 2025 New Year holiday.

The campaign lasts from December 25, 2024 to January 2, 2025. Accordingly, in districts, the Team for Receiving and Handling Information on Vagrants and Itinerant Beggars (Team 550) under the Social Work Centre coordinates with the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and relevant agencies to strengthen propaganda, inspection, and strictly deal with cases of vagrants and itinerant beggars, such as taking advantage of bringing children, the elderly, and people with disabilities to sell goods, and beg on downtown routes.

Also, focus is on conducting inspections and patrols in areas with high tourist concentrations, intersections, food and beverage establishments, markets, and pagodas in the city before, during and after the New Year holiday 2025.

The campaign is being deployed synchronously at all levels, aiming to timely tackle vagrancy and begging, and contribute to ensuring urban beauty and security and order in the city.
