The Ward Youth Union has implemented the "Volunteer Saturday for Administrative Procedures" model, linked to the "Three More" and "Three Responsibilities" movements. This meaningful activity promotes the image of enthusiastic, friendly, and responsible young officials and youth members in the eyes of the community.
Ms. Do Thi Xuan, a resident of Residential Group 7, Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, shared that during her visit to the ward's People's Committee for civil registry-related documentation, she was warmly greeted and guided by youth members. They explained the procedures, reviewed her documents, and quickly forwarded them to specialized officials for processing.
"Within less than 10 minutes, my documents were completed, leaving me very satisfied. This practical initiative not only speeds up administrative processes but also helps citizens better understand procedures through the guidance provided by youth members," Ms. Xuan said with delight.
Similarly, after receiving assistance from youth member Nguyen Thi Thuy Van in completing her level-2 electronic identification process, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh of Residential Group 25 expressed her appreciation. Busy with her business, she rarely had time during working hours to complete such procedures. Upon learning that services were available on Saturdays, she took the opportunity to visit.
"I didn’t expect everything to be resolved so quickly. From the moment I arrived, the youth members enthusiastically welcomed and assisted me, ensuring everything was done efficiently and conveniently. This saved me and many others significant time," Ms. Thuy Van added.
Nguyen Bao Quyen, a regular participant in community-oriented activities organized by the Ward Youth Union, said, "Helping residents with administrative procedures not only resolves their needs but also provides us with valuable experience and skills in interacting and working with the community, fostering closer ties between citizens and youth members."
According to statistics, youth members of the ward annually assist with hundreds of cases, expediting pending tasks and reducing backlogs. This contributes to a more democratic, transparent administrative system and strengthens public trust in the local government and its young officials.
Additionally, the initiative encourages youth union members to innovate, propose solutions to promote online submissions, and develop models incorporating scientific and technological advancements in administrative reform.
As noted by Huynh Vo Ha Le, Secretary of the Hoa Hiep Bac Ward Youth Union, “Volunteer Saturday for Administrative Procedures" initiative has attracted the active participation of hundreds of youth union members and young officials. Volunteer teams assist in advising, processing, and resolving administrative tasks for citizens and businesses, including notarizing documents, addressing backlogged cases, and promoting public awareness of online services. They also guide residents on registering and activating the level-2 electronic identification app (VNeID).
Chairman of Hoa Hiep Bac Ward People's Committee Ha Thuc Nhon stated "In recent times, the youth members of our ward have made meaningful contributions to achieving the locality’s political goals, especially in assisting citizens with administrative procedures on Saturdays. These initiatives reflect the proactive and creative spirit of our young officials in administrative reform, contributing to the development of a modern, professional, and evolving administrative system".
