This bypass is a critical component of the Bien Bridge Upgrade Project, part of the Emergency Dredging and Flood Mitigation Sub-project for the Co Co River, which runs through Da Nang. The Bien Bridge is located on the Le Van Hien-Tran Dai Nghia route in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Following its completion and inspection, the bypass road has been opened to traffic. It will be monitored for one week to assess safety. If deemed satisfactory, construction teams will proceed to dismantle the old bridge and build the new one.

The Bien Bridge is classified as a Grade III infrastructure project. According to the approved design and revised budget for its upgrade, the total estimated cost is nearly VND 579.9 billion. Funding is sourced from the central government’s budget, the city’s budget, and social capital.

The project is scheduled to be completed within 480 days from the commencement date.
