In recent years, the city has concentrated on upgrading traffic infrastructure and synchronously implementing solutions to ensure traffic safety and order along the route. However, the results of controlling traffic accidents on the route have not been sustainable, and violations of traffic safety and order still occur frequently, especially visual errors such as speeding, reckless overtaking, driving in the wrong lane, and stopping and parking in violation of regulations. Also, there are many shops along the route, causing a risk of traffic accidents.

Therefore, recently, Hai Chau District People's Committee has piloted the "Traffic Safety Model Route" for Bach Dang Street to build a symbol of civilised and cultural traffic in Da Nang.

According to police force in Hai Chau District, the selection of Bach Dang Street for the implementation of the model aims to raise public awareness about ensuring traffic safety. The local police force will increase the handling of traffic violations on the route, and the use of synchronous solutions such as adding speed limit lines, using surveillance cameras in coordination with propaganda.

Major Bui Than Xuan, Deputy Chief of Police Division in Hai Chau District, said that the district's functional bodies and local traffic police have implemented a specific plan, with a focus on carrying out extensive propaganda on "Respecting the law to build a culture of safe traffic" to people from all walks of life through many diverse forms.

Vice Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Nguyen Van Duy said that Bach Dang Street not only plays an important role in the urban traffic system but is also a symbol of civilisation of the city. Therefore, the district is determined to build Bach Dang Street associated with traffic culture, commensurate with modern infrastructure and beautiful landscape, in order to become a symbol of civilisation in the eyes of the city's residents and tourists.
