Chief Justice of Supreme People's Court presents Tet gifts to poor households in Da Nang
Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri, on Tuesday, visited and presented Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households, extremely disadvantaged families, and workers in difficult circumstances in Da Nang.

At the gift-giving ceremony, Chief Justice Tri expressed his excitement and congratulated Da Nang on its socio-economic development achievements gained in 2024 and on taking good care of people's lives. He added that Da Nang has received attention from the Central Government by issuing many policies, guidelines and special mechanisms. This is a condition for Da Nang to develop dramatically in the coming time.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri wished Da Nang to continue to develop and become a bright spot of the country. He also requested the Party Committee and government of the city to continue to pay attention to social welfare work, and taking good care of local people, especially the vulnerable and poor households.

Reporting at the programme, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung said that the whole city has 4,584 poor households (accounting for 1.53%) and 2,291 near-poor households (accounting for 0.76%) according to the city's standards.
He informed that the municipal People's Committee has spent more than VND 126 billion on giving Tet gifts to beneficiaries. Of which, over VND 7.4 billion has been from the central budget source, more than VND 108.4 billion from the city budget source, and VND 10.2 billion from the city's "For the Poor" Fund.

At the programme, 200 poor households, and 40 workers and labourers in difficult circumstances, received Tet gifts, including VND 1 million in cash and VND 300,000 in kind each.
