When receiving a group of US science and technology experts and representatives from the Boston Global Forum on Monday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang informed about some of the city’s outstanding achievements.

In particular, Da Nang is positioned by the Politburo and the Central Government as one of the country's science and technology hubs, and a centre for startups and innovation.

Da Nang is also one of the localities to early concretise the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Also in the morning of the same day, the Party Central Committee's Secretariat held a national conference on this topic, thereby creating a breakthrough change in awareness and implementation, contributing to the country's progress.

The working session aimed to discuss strategic and long-term solutions for science and technology development; at the same time, strengthen the network of strategic cooperation, connection and investment attraction.

Speaking at the meeting, a spokesperson for the Danang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC) informed about the investment environment, and scientific research and technology development of the city; and special and outstanding policies and mechanisms in the fields of science and technology, innovative startups in Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organisation of urban government and piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang.
