Da Nang offers zero-cost bus trips for migrant workers returing home for Tet 2025
The Da Nang Labour Federation is operating the programme ‘Trade Union Tet Journey 2025 under which migrant workers get free bus tickets to return to their hometowns outside Da Nang to celebrate Tet holiday 2025 with their families. These trips are not only material gifts but also a source of encouragement, helping workers face life with greater confidence.

From early morning, many migrant workers gathered at the Da Nang Exhibition Centre to take coach rides to return home.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Hung from Quang Binh Province said: “For many years, thanks to the Trade Union coaches, my family has always been able to celebrate Tet with my parents in the countryside. That is the sincere affection and understanding of the trade union officers for the workers. I would like to send my thanks and best wishes to the trade union officers, hoping that everyone will be happy and have a warm Tet with their families”.
The first time participating in the trade union coach journey, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, a migrant worker from Quang Tri Province felt very happy and eagerly awaited.
“In 2024, I decided to come to Da Nang to live and work and I feel that my decision was a good one because of the care and sharing of everyone here. I will definitely return to this city to stay. I hope this meaningful programme will continue for many more years, so that workers far from home can have the opportunity to celebrate Tet with their families.”, said Ms. Hien.

According to the Chairman of the Da Nang Labour Federation Phan Thi Thuy Linh, on January 25, 28 trade union buses brought nearly 1,200 trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances to their hometown to welcome a warm spring with their families and loved ones.
Under the ongoing Trade Union Tet Journey 2025 programme, so far nearly 100 trade union buses have brought nearly 3,600 trade union members and workers home Khanh Hoa, Thanh Hoa and the Dak Lak provinces.
The programme is held from December 24 to 28. Each trade union member and worker get a free meal worth VND100,000 /person.
