Da Nang opens 2025 Trade Union Tet Market

The Trade Union Tet Market 2025 is taking place at the campus of the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre until January 12.

This year's market has the participation of 39 partners with more than 80 booths providing essential services and goods at the stabilized prices and discounts of 5% - 50% compared to market prices. Also, many incentives are offered to trade union members, workers, civil servants and labourers in the city.

During the 4-day market, there are cultural and artistic programmes, games with prizes, and job introduction sessions.

At the opening ceremony of the market on Thursday evening, the Da Nang Labour Federation presented 30 gifts in cash and in-kind, worth VND 1 million each, to trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

These were out of 20,000 gifts totalling VND 20 billion under the programme to accompany trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

In addition, the municipal Labour Federation gave 40,000 shopping vouchers, valued at VND 4 billion in total, to trade union members and workers to use for shopping at the Trade Union Tet Market, and deployed 2,500 online shopping vouchers for trade union members and workers on the e-commerce platform Viet Nam Trade Union Tet Market with a total value of VND 1.25 billion.

Moreover, symbolic boards of donations about train and bus tickets for the programme "Trade Union Tet Journey" were offered. Accordingly, under the programme, 2,000 free train tickets will be given to needy workers, whilst 100 turns of coaches will be organised for poor trade union members to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet.

Chairwoman of the city’s Labour Federation Phan Thi Thuy Linh said that after nearly 10 years of organising the "Tet Sum Vay" Programme with different themes, scales, and forms, local trade union members and workers have received a lot of affection and many practical welfare programmes brought by the Trade Union organisations.

This is a practical and meaningful activity that helps trade union members and workers have the opportunity to access goods with guaranteed quality and stable prices as well as enjoy many other promotional and preferential programmes from suppliers.
