Previously, at 8:00 pm on January 19, Major Le Van Quynh, a supervisor at the Han River Port Border Guard Station, received information that a citizen had picked up a handbag containing personal documents, a bank card in the name of John Patton Lawrence and cash, while performing his duties.

Major Le Van Quynh reported the case to the unit’s commander. At 9:00 am on January 20, Mr. John Patton Lawrence, American nationality, contacted to retrieve his lost property.

After verifying the correct information, Major Le Van Quynh handed over the lost property to Mr. John Patton Lawrence. Moved by Major Le Van Quynh's good deed, the foreigner wrote a letter of thanks to the officers and soldiers of the Da Nang Port Border Guard and Major Le Van Quynh himself.

Major Le Van Quynh's good deed has left a good impression of the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people and international tourists.
