Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Vang District Bui Nam Dung appealed for organisations and individuals to contribute funds to help poor and near-poor households, families in difficult circumstances, and ethnic minority households to have stable and solid housing, capable of withstanding the disadvantages of natural disasters and weather, so that they can work and live with peace of mind.
Accordingly, each cadre, civil servant, public employee, soldier of the armed forces, and those who receive salaries from the state budget contributes at least one day's salary, whilst each worker and labourer contributes at least one day's income. Union members, youth, and teenagers save at least VND 50,000 per person, and each family with an average or higher standard of living supports at least VND 100,000.
The campaign lasts from January 14 to March 29. Through initial survey, there are about 400 temporary houses according to the prescribed criteria in Hoa Vang District.
