Naval ships carry Tet gifts to soldiers at DK1 platform

Two ships from the High Command of Naval Region 2 on January 1 sailed from Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, to visit officers and soldiers who are doing their duty on DK1 Platform and Radar Station 590 in Con Dao Island District.

The delegations will visit units stationed in the land district during their trip which isexpected to last from 15-17 days.

The first delegation, led by Colonel Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2 Command, will visit and send New Year wishes to officers and soldiers who are doing their duty on DK1 Platform, Radar Station 590, fishing ships, and civil and party agencies in Con Dao Island District.

The second delegation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Trieu Thanh Tung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Naval Region 2 Command, will visit and extend New Year greetings at 10 DK1 platforms.

Also, the two delegations bring Tet gifts from the Ministry of National Defence, the Navy, the Command of the Naval Region 2, civil and political agencies, businesses and people of localities to officers and soldiers on duty at sea, on islands and on the southern continental shelf on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

The gifts include commodities and necessities such as pork, chicken, sticky rice, dong leaves, green beans, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, kumquats, jams, and candies.

This is a regular activity every time Tet comes, demonstrating the concern of the Party, State, Army, Navy, Naval Region 2 and the affection of the people nationwide, for officers and soldiers on duty in the seas and islands of the Fatherland.
